I am a blue-eyed boy of exceptional paleness hailing from the lower right-hand corner of Alabama; now live from the great state of Tennessee. I was born in a John Mellencamp song where I wandered into drug store/soda shops and beauty parlors after school. Presently, I’m getting used to life in the slow-moving Jackson though I still miss the radio and record stores of Nashville.
At home, my lovely wife and I like to play Scrabble and work through our Netflix queue. We sometimes go to thrift stores and yard sales. I make mix CDs. She makes meaningful meals and enters recipe contests. We have entirely too many books. We like to talk to each other more than is probably healthy. Donna and I live with and are caretakers of her mom who has stage four cancer. We all laugh a lot together.
My post-college years have been accompanied by personal crises (unemployment, family illness, and depression). I have a B.A. in Christian Education and an M.A. in Religion but these experiences have taught me as much.
